CO2 Rising

Since the beginning of industrialisation, the atmospheric CO2 concentration has risen from 280 ppm to 405 ppm. This increase by 45 percent (or 125 ppm) is completely caused by humans.

Where does carbon come from?

Deforestation is a major source of CO2 emissions, this is because the CO2 absorbed and stored in the trees is released back into the atmosphere when they are cut down.
